Our Mission

Safe Inc. of Schenectady exists to provide outreach, shelter, counseling, and supportive services to homeless youth who are at-risk and may be vulnerable to or have been subjected to sexual exploitation and trafficking.

What We Do

At Safe Inc. we aim to combat youth homelessness and exploitation through prevention, crisis services, and case management. We address each of these issues through our McIntosh House, Project Safe programs and anti-trafficking.

McIntosh House

The McIntosh House, previously known as Safe House, is the only certified emergency youth shelter in Schenectady County. The McIntosh House is certified by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) to serve youth 16-20 years old—including teen parents and their infants or toddlers—that are runaways, homeless and/or sexually exploited.
